Hello all

I just bought myself a Surface Go 2. I have spent some time updating the software on it but it seems that I'm stuck on version 1909 build 18363. :( Wich means no new Edge.

Anyone else who have had this problem?

I'm still in S mode if that is relevant. I intended to keep it in S-mode for a while, just to try it out.

Thanks on advance

Best regards

I'm on 1909 but I do not use S-mode. I have new Edge installed and I could update to 20H2. However, on my particular device, I have a desktop icon bug with 20H2 where deleted icons keep re-appearing. I've tried 2004/20H2 twice and got the same bug each time. So I went back to 1909 and I'll likely use that for quite some time.

Thank you for your replay.

Did you install the new Edge manually or did you get it as part of a system update? I got the impression that the new Edge was replacing the old one in the 2004 update of Windows.

I had to download it manually. If you decide to leave S-mode, you will be able to download and install it as well.

@shaddack If you only want to install store apps only, you have the option of installing the new edge and blocking all other win32 installs.

This is available on both home and pro from W10 build 15046 or so.

Install only apps from the store..PNG

Install only apps from the store 2.PNG

Therefore effectively giving you alittle more flexibility.
