This morning (25 Nov) I got a firmware update for my Studio. After the restart, I found that it may have been a re-installation, as the FW version number 118.1895.770.0 was already in the driver list with an install date of 11/18/2017. Strangely, nothing had an install date of today.

Also installed a week ago without any explicit report to the user were:

Intel - System - 7/18/2017 12:00:00 AM - 11.7.0.1040
Microsoft - Holographic - 6/21/2006 12:00:00 AM - 10.0.16299.1047
NVIDIA - Display - 10/19/2017 12:00:00 AM - 23.21.13.8795
Microsoft - Holographic - 6/21/2006 12:00:00 AM - 10.0.16299.1036

For some reason I doubt the lock-down dates on the holographic drivers. If the other two were merely delayed, I guess I am happy to have them at long last.

I will repeat my standard gripe about the installed update history that it can include things I was never warned were coming, and sometimes does not include things that were announced by MS but never confirmed as delivered to my machine in a timely fashion. Also, depending on the device, a major system update (1709, for instance, or a FR Insider update) will on some Surface devices obliterate the history for earlier FW and driver updates. I took my Studio out of the Insider program a couple of months ago, so it is running bone-stock FCU right now (1709) with whatever release updates have been pushed in the last six weeks.
