Since Nokia unveiled the next event in October 22? Is it going to be the 1520? The picture doesn't really seem to indicate it. Usually the picture for Nokia's events give a hint at what's to come.

I find it interesting that they're having this event on the same day that the new Surfaces are released. There were some rumors that once the acquisition was announced things got a little cold between Nokia and MS (MS wanting Nokia to scrap the tablet/change product launches). Obviously it can be one big coincidence, but when multi-billion dollar companies are involved coincidences don't usually happen.

Its not just surface... W8.1 is out for general distribution and download on 10/22... If anything Microsoft are looking for as much mindshare as possible, and the day of 8.1 release is a good day to show off GDR3... I know GDR2 isn't fully rolled out yet but if you think about when it first showed up... I mean think about it it'll be November before we see a GDR3 phone in shops if we're lucky and GDR2 was first seen in May on the 925 and on sale in June and GDR2 started rolling out in July... so yea, I think we're due
