Office 365 subscription for Continuum use

Yes, That is because it is 1080 @ 60fps which is as good as a PC... You are mistakenly thinking that Continuum is miracast which it is not!!!! You can have free office on miracast on win 10 phones like android or ios. Miracast runs at 30 fps max as it is designed for dvd play that is why the experience with miracast is deemed mobile quality...

To use office in miracast on win 10 phones
Connect tv
Start continuum app on the phone
Hit ...
Display
In display drop down change to connected tv
Scroll to bottom--- advanced display options
Select project...

I forgot, in which advertising ms says about paid office in continuum mode? Um? Buy $500 device, $100 dock, $50 keyboard, $50 mouse, find external display. Pay $100 annually for office. And you will get.... a computer powered arm 64 and very cutted windows and lite version office.
I guess that this will the end of WP at all.

Can you do that on ios or android? NO.... That is the point!!! Nobody forces you to use it,and if you don't you get exactly what you get with ios and android... Move on...

Sorry but it's not quite clear to me yet. If I'll buy a Lumia with Continuum, will I be able to do some quick and simple edit to Word documents while connected with continuum or not? I don't need Office 365, Office Mobile is enough...

You'll be able to edit documents in continuum until april, 1. After that date you'll need to buy subscription.

After April 1st No but you can still miracast it to a tv like any other phone...
