Office 365 won't let me login

I am setting up Office 365 for my grandfather. I downloaded it on his work laptop and signed into his Microsoft account perfectly fine. I then downloaded it onto his desktop without any issues, but it won't let me sign him in. All day it has been saying something like "Sorry, the server is temporarily down". Has anyone had these issues? I'm pretty much stuck

Have you tried a restart on the laptop that could solve the issue.
