So far, soo good. Best Buy had a 64gb microsd card on sale for $59!! So now I'm really set.....really digging the size, lightweight, and call quality so far. Very pleased.

Interested in this for sure. I live in Japan and have been using a sim free HTC Titan for 15 months. Absolutely love it, but I have been waiting to make the jump to WP8 because other than the 920, there was no Nokia that could compete (save the new OS) with my present device (HTC 8X only 16GB-they dropped the Zenith plans; 920 pricey and was really hoping for expandable memory)

So I am very interested in your impressions on these new phones. I almost talked myself into the ATIV S, but Samsung's recent reluctance to push Win Phone and the Nokia eco system is very enticing. So a couple of questions'

You seem pleased. The Lumia 720 will be my choice if I make the jump soon. Does the Music & Video hub natively access the SD card? I have zero experience with this. Is the 620 512MB? Has this made a difference in how it runs apps? Anything you need you haven't been able to run?

Any and all input is very welcome!

Does the Music & Video hub natively access the SD card?

It does. When it detects a new SD card it will ask if you want to use it for music storage. But I've found the whole music thing very buggy on my Lumia 620. I've had heaps of problems with duplicate songs appearing in the M&V app. I thought I'd solved the problem by putting the SD card into my laptop and directly copying my music files (rather than connecting the phone to the computer). But opened the app a couple of days ago and I now have five copies of every song listed (even though there's only one copy of the file on the SD card).

So if you're after a good music experience with WP8, beware.

Is the 620 512MB? Has this made a difference in how it runs apps? Anything you need you haven't been able to run?

Yes, the 620 has 512MB of RAM. Personally I've not found anything I've wanted to run that I can't. I believe some games require 1GB, but I'm not into phone games, so this doesn't affect me. It's a bit hard to predict whether the lack of RAM will have an impact in the long run as the platform becomes more established, but I don't think it will be an issue in the short term. The 720 also has 512MB so the same will apply to it.

As for performance, you do see the odd 'loading...' screen on the Lumia 620, but in general it's a pretty fluid experience. It's certainly a lot smoother in all respects than my Sony Xperia S Android phone. That said, the music issues and the lack of a few crucial functions and apps for WP8 in general mean I'm still using the Xperia as my primary working phone. The 620 is just an evaluation/backup device at the moment.

Are you in the US? i am thinking about doing the same exact thing.

How is the battery life? That is what im worried about, but i really want a smaller phone.

My wife and I bought two 620's and have problems with both of them freezing up. Many times we have to take the battery out to unfreeze. Both phones froze last night. I had to take battery out. Do not understand why it seems everyone else's experience has been good and ours not so good. I could understand one phone, but both I do not understand. I've intended to take both phones to a Nokia store, but nothing close by. Need to do to see if they can fix. Supposedly there is an update from Nokia that is out that might fix some problems, but I've yet to see it. Some countries have gotten and others no. I had a Samsung Focus before and very rarely had a problem. Will switch back if they cannot fix.

well that's weird!

1. M+V been working fine since i bought my 620 a month ago...no multiple copies of the same song, i'll add some new ones to see how it goes

2. my 620 has never frozen or lagged and like i said above, it's been one month since i got it

so i rly think pplz shouldn't make things general...or am i just lucky and got a perfect working trouble-free device? '-'

Had touch-screen sensitivity and WiFi connection issues with my 620. However everything seemed to have been solved with the 1308 update. Works perfectly now. Have no problems copying and playing music and videos from the SD card. All the apps and games I like and use run without problems on 512MB RAM. Only a few games will need 1G RAM like Modern Combat 4. Not a problem for me because I don't play 3D FPS games on my phone. It's just too hard to control with touch. I prefer to play those on my PC with Xbox controllers.

Just saying that I received two phones that unless they can fix them, they are gone. I just find it strange that I get two phones at the same time that have the same problems, but I have yet to read where someone else is having the same problems. People have problems, but apparently consider them minor enough to still want to keep the phone. Problems I'm having I do not consider minor. Both phones froze up in front of other people the other night, so that group is aware of the problems with Nokia and I am sure they will not be buying Nokia. The phone was inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.

surely because of a faulty device pplz get to think Nokia sux, that's kinda stupid lol

you should get the phones to a Care Center and have them checked, if needed, they'll give you a replacement! Nokia is known for their amazing customer service, i'm sure it won't be hard to solve your problem!

Lumia 620 provides a rly good performance for its price and specs, that's why i think you should take it to Nokia Care, i haven't rly seen pplz complaining about 620...

Really interested in your experiences in switching. Have your found any area at all where you thought "that wouldn't have happened on my 920" or missed it at all? What's the difference in battery life, build quality and so on in your experience?

Not "a faulty device". Two. Get it. Two. I got two faulty devices. Out of all the 620's in the world I got the only two that were faulty. Nessinhaw, what do you think? Think I got the only two? You work for Nokia? You seem to be overly defensive.

This is not a 'one-off'. It is a general comment on a common problem.

Thank you for your apology.

Your suggestion to take the phone to Nokia Care Center is helpful, and if you have any other helpful advice please do not be afraid to post.
