No, it doesn't belong. It is not a standalone game. Basically it is re-nominating ELDEN RING.

Yes, other games are being snubbed and not just Microsoft games (expected). Nintendo had a good year. Various Korean games. Even Palworld. And a ton of PC games. Plenty of standalone choices available.

That said, the only impact is to the show's already frayed reputation. Much like the Tonys the only people who care are the Pre-anointed winners.
