optimised software for surface pro 3

Hi,

I've preordered the sp3 in i5/128GB. I wanted to use it primarily for note taking and some coding in visual studio.

I haven't been a huge fan of Windows 8/8.1 and the lack of apps is a concern.

Aside from final draft and Photoshop, is there other software that will be optimised for use with the surface pro 3?

There are no lack of apps. Do you mean lack of metro apps rather than traditional desktop apps?

Desktop legacy programs are unlikely to be "optimized" but they will run and be perfectly usable, especially since the display is larger. There is no shortage of these apps.

specially touch friendly apps are in shorter supply, but it's not the only option.

Ok. Just wanted to clarify. It will come. Given time. With wp8.1 penetration vs 7 it will probably be slowly moving and most software companies tend to be slow to adopt new os features. Unless you are adobe. Rush out a new version release it with tons of new features, tons of bugs and broken features, then slowly improve it. Once that version begins to run smooth release the next version. Lol. They always crack me up. I feel like a paying betta tester for lightroom sometimes.
