Other storage?

Arghh, what is "other storage" and how the **** do I empty it, its taking up 3.14gb!!! Wtf!!. Help!?.

very bad sarcasm. the front page of the wp8 forum has several articles about the "other" storage. I couldn't come up with anything better on a Friday after a long day at work.

Fair play, I was being lazy but also fishing to see if any definitive or new thoughts were out there.

though in several other posts, I do worry about it and hope MS fixes it. I have enough issues with my android and low storage notification all the time, and I am looking forward to making the switch in June.
