Outlook indicates mail received but inbox is empty?

Outlook is indicating a message, but when I open the Outlook inbox, it's empty.
Also when phone are in stby mode it shows a incomming message

Make sure you have the right inbox selected via the hamburger menu , that puzzled me at first as I have multiple accounts lol.

Also check the store for updates an update most likely will address this issue (presuming you don't have multiple email accounts).

I assume you are using W10M through insider preview? This is a bug. Turning the phone off and back on can sometimes fix it. If not, send yourself an email and it will sort it out. This happens when you delete an email and quickly exit the mail app or lock the phone too quickly. It's been fixed in the latest W10M build .218
