My Lumia 640 is on it's last breath, space-wise. It has 4/7gb of space used just by updates for WP10.

As for actual apps, WhatsApp's using 1gb, deleting it is not an option. One Drive with 500mb (200 of which I deleted from the cloud, but my Lumia doesn't feel like freeing the space) and 350mb by Outlook Mail.

I have:
Unlinked my email from the app itself.
Unlinked my email from the setting's email & app accounts.

However it keeps using 350mb. I am unable to delete it, it has no errors to be reinstalled by the Store and I can't reset it's data. What can I do to force it to free the space.

Well I'm not an expert in Windows mobile's world but you should try to use anti-virus because your phone could be infected with one i have my lumia 1520 for almost 4 years and didn't see it use that much of data in any of these apps.

Hmm, when you say unlink do you mean you removed the email completely from the device?

Or just untick the email sync option?

There are really no viruses for Windows mobile 10, unlike Android.

Removed completely.
I even lost all my contacts names on WhatsApp so I had to link again my outlook email to the phone.
Before that I did try to just check the sync option but it didn't solve the space usage problem.

Edit: The email I was using on the mail and calendar app isn't the outlook email.
I don't use my outlook mail for nothing, so at best it'd have 10mb worth of emails.

This is a known fault, for several years, that MS has ignored and refused to address. The size will continue to increase until you're left with no option but to hard-reset.

I see, with WM10, which I presume you are using since this under WM10 section or are you using Windows phone 8.x?

In WM10 you can attach a microsoft account and remove the outlook email completely through outlook settings and then manage accounts - the account you wish to remove and then remove from my device.

It may be caching your contacts for backing up, but that would be a guess. have you updated the mail and calendar app?

I have over a dozen email accounts attached to my phone and the mail + calendar app only takes 112 MB,

Yes, it is indeed Windows 10 Mobile. More specifically build: 10.0.15063.674

I did change the settings on my email to sync only contacts, since I've saved them to it, or maybe it also saved them to the email, I don't remember... But that didn't change the fact that the mail and calendar keeps using 350mb of storage.

Maybe the problem is that when I first linked my email to it, i set it to download all data based on my usage, and it downloaded around 2 to 3 emails daily.

I see.
I guess there's really nothing I can do now. After 2 years I'm finally done with Windows Phone, I'll deeply miss the live tiles, it was basically what sold me the phone, he.

Is there any way to stop getting Windows monthly updates? That is what is balooning my phone's hd.
