So, it finally happened. Dropped my darling Lumia and landed screen first. Now there's a very thin, hair-like crack across the screen. At first, I was uber pissed that it was there, but if the phone still worked, I' can live with it. Unfortunately, now the screen is going CRAZY. Search is popping up out of nowhere, the multitask thing keeps opening, scrolling becomes inconsistent, and well, it's the symptoms of the dreaded tap-scroll issue.

Will Palco repair this? I know they can repair the screen/replace it, but will they fix this obvious software issue as well? This is SO frustrating because this screen issue happened once before, but I was fortunate enough for Nokia themselves to fix it. Now, since there is physical damage to the screen, I know they'll just give me the finger and let me be.

This is easily my favourite phone of all time. Love the screen, love my red hardware, camera is second to none. But this ****ing screen thing is seriously a buzz kill. It's going to cost 200 dollars to repair and I have an upgrade available that I can use. I'm SERIOUSLY looking at the Nexus 6 until MS gets off their asses and gets me a proper 1520 follow up, then selling the N6 and picking it up. Ugh. ****!!

So,, Palco.. can they fix this issue?

I had the same thing happen to me after I dropped my phone. Sent it to palco and my 1520 is back to normal. I didn't have the screen issue before the cracks but after I cracked the screen the phone went crazy like yours. But its ok for me. Real happy with the repair

Because of the crack the screen becomes crazy. So if the screen is replaced the problem is solved.
The crack damaged the touch screen and gives the phone al kind of "false" touches and that is why you see al these things.

How much was the repair? I'm guessing something like 200 dollars? That's a lot of money for a simple screen repair.
