People Hub

Just been playing around with the new features in the People Hub and really really impressed but...can see possible room for improvement (which I may post to the new suggestions page) if my understanding of how it works is correct? Love the new groups and linking of accounts but something struck me... Setting all this up takes a little time...and I'm guessing that links and group settings are stored locally on the device?
Surely Windows Lives connect feature and the way they've approached things (I.e. Being the 'middle man' the connecting piece etc, these settings would be better in the cloud?
