Persuading Office to Buy Xbox One

So the Blu-Ray player we have for presentations broke in our office and I'm considering getting an Xbox One with Kinect as a replacement (pipe dream that it is). I'll pitch it as a way to streamline our group Skype conferences (wish for Lync at some point), sharing our OneDrive resources for views in presentations, the Miracast support coming in the next update for screen casts, and, of course, as a Blu-Ray player.

Is it kinda hogwash to suggest it? Of course, it'll also be there for lunch breaks.

Kindof expensive for a Blu-ray player. AFAIK there's one by LG for ?50 and if your office computers are running Windows, Skype and OneDrive can be installed on them

True! But super boring 😉

Tell them it could be used for off time to increase social activity in the work area. The Skype on it for business would be great. With Windows 10 around the corner you'll be able to stream it to your PC.

Hah! I'm aware of its expense for just Blu-Ray, but it seems like a worthwhile investment in our conference area when a group of us are meeting face to face with another client through Skype. Plus in-house conferences and collaboration might find the Miracast support useful, especially paired with Office Remote and other things.

I guess I would try to pitch it with those reasonings. First world problem, to be sure, but it would have its business uses along with, ah, decompression uses.
