Phone beeping - What is it?

Hi,

My phone is beeping all the time and I am not sure what it is.

Front Screen and home page show no notifications. if I reboot it keeping doing it until it switches off, and continues once its rebooted

If I go to my sound settings and turn off "All Other notification" it stops but the battery is going down quicker than normal

Its driving me mad

Did you try disabling tap+send?

Found it...

I got one of them chips today for my credit card to allow transactions upto ?20 without using my card.

Any ideas what is happening?

Tap and send turns it off as well

Tap+Send is NFC. Your phone is an NFC Reader, like those where you tap your card to make payments. Of course, if you leave your card on the reader at the store, obviously it will keep beeping. So your phone reacts in the same way. It reacts with cards that need to be tapped like metro cards (ORCA card, ezlink card) and VISA paywave cards. The benefit of that is probably at a later date, you may be able to use your phone to read the card, to determine how much value your card has. Only time will tell
