Phone not backing up App and Settings onto OneDrive. Please help

I have enabled auto backup of App+Settings to OneDrive on my phone but I have found that its past 4 days but no backup has been done. Anyone else facing this issue ?

If I have to manually sync it why do we even have an auto backup feature present ? Does your phone do it automatically or you have to manually back up always ?
