Photos not appearing in Favourites

Hi guys got a strange one here and I'm stumped.
Just got a Lumia 930 after updating from a previous Windows Phone, and a couple before that.
Every time I've got a new phone I've took a selection of my favourite photos off it to copy onto my new device so I have some files to shuffle through on my photo tile. And when I upgrade again I do the same. At this point I have about a 120 photos I've just copied onto my new phone but they're not all showing in my favourites.
Now I don't know if you know but if you copy a photo off your phone you've marked as a favourite, when you copy it onto a new phone it'll go straight into favourites on that too.
Most of them have, there's just a handful that no matter how I try I can't get them into favourite.
I mark them as favourite, if I hold onto them after it says 'remove from favourites' but as soon as I come off that screen, be it back to Start or across to favourite it's like it automatically unfavourites.
It seems to be the same few photos, there's nothing different in their file type, name or size etc that appears obvious. In fact 2 photos that previously showed in favourites since adding some more now can't be added back in.

Any suggestions guys and girls?

122 photos I want marked as favourites, 112 are.
If I take a new photo I can add that without any problems and without losing any others from in there, so 112 isn't a maximum.

In case anyone actually reads this I have fixed the problem.

I think it stemmed from selecting all my photos in one go and adding to favourites to try and get the ones I was missing. It didn't unfavourite the ones that already were but it caused problems in the ones that wasn't.

In the end the way to fix it was, load up a photo full screen, where the share, favourite, bin icons are across the bottom and mark it as favourite this way, I went through all my photos like this marking the ten that wasn't and it worked.

I am now extremely tired before a full day at work.
