I am planning to switch from Android to windows phone . And the phone that i am going to buy is Lumia 720 . I had few questions in my mind .
Q. I do read ebooks on my mobile so can i do this on 720 . And should the ebook be download from any specific market ? And does windows apps market provide ebooks ??
Q. Can you download YouTube videos and save it to your sd card . Also can you put videos from your computer to the sd card and watch it using the default video player ?
Q. I am planning to own this mobile for a long time ie 2-3 years , so is this mobile durable and can it last that long ?
Q. Can you connect lumia's bluetooth with other os phones such as android and share files ?
Q. And what limitations should i know as i am switching from android to windows mobile other than offline app installation .
Q. Also most of the time i don't use internet data connections , so is data connection absolutely must for windows phone ?
Q.And whats the future for 512mb ram this mobile has . As i do a little bit of gaming , is the 512mb ram limitation totally gonna limit games for this mobile in the future ?

1. You can read ebooks freely, I use Freda for that. It syncs with books I've put on skydrive. No idea about ebooks on the market place, I get my books through other channels :)

2. You can definitely watch videos from your sd card. I don't know about downloading from youtube, never done it, but should be possible.

3.It is very durable, it is well made, and provided you don't throw it around it should last long.

4. You can share files through bluetooth with other mobile phones and computers, no limitations. It has no file manager though, so you can store .rar files on it, for example, but you have no way to find with and send it over, without connecting to a computer with a usb cable. Other stuff - pictures, videos, notes, documents, contacts, can be sent.

5. One limitation that drives me crazy is the sms sound i cannot change. All WP suffer from this. No file manager as well. But I can live with it, as it has perks other mobiles don't - inbuilt QR code reader, OCR and instant translation from Bing, awesome camera, stable OS and amazing battery life.

6. Data connection is not a must, but I hope you have at least wi-fi around you. Live tiles are really cool about displaying live updates for things, and without any data that would be a bit boring.

7. 512 RAM doesn't seem to limit it too much, I have yet to discover an app I cannot install, but I am not much of a gamer. I have several games (shuriken ninja is a favorite) and they work perfectly. If you absolutely need a more powerful phone with future intensive games in mind, get one of the more expensive lumias - 925 would do. This one has the best battery of them, and really good camera for its price.

Hope I helped with your choice. :)

Thank you for the reply it was really helpful . And do you mind telling me what is SKYDRIVE and is it necessary ? I am totally new to the windows phones scene.

Skydrive is online storage (cloud storage) just like dropbox and google drive. SkyDrive is provided by Microsoft.

Is it necessary? Well its very useful to backup data, pictures etc. When you use a windows phone you have to provide a Microsoft account (outlook or hotmail ID) which is then linked to the phone and it gives you 7GB of storage on SkyDrive. You will need the Microsoft account to be able to download apps from the store.

For e-books you can also try the Amazon Kindle and Bookviser apps. I prefer Kindle.
