Plans to ban all electronic devices larger than phone from planes - opportunity (lost)?

The rumours of the US Government to impose a ban on all electronic devices larger than mobile phone are again on the radar. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/airline-laptop-ban-extension/

If, for some reason, this really happened, it would mean that business and recreational travellers between Europe and the US would have to find a new solution to their computing needs. This could be rental laptop and tablet market, but it could equally be a mobile device market where one small device does it all.

Thinking about Continuum, W10M and the mythical Surface phone, is this an opportunity (lost) for Microsoft?

Hmm this is an interesting question. I do think Continuum could have had a place here for sure, since that would offer a truly mobile solution that could be free of any hassle.

As far as I know and from what has appeared in news articles in my country ,the ban will be for checked in luggage and not carry on baggage.
