There were rumors floating around that it was being acquired because of a bag.
Playtonic said that this wasn't true and they weren't working on Banjo-Kazooie.
A few days ago, rumors were floating around that Playtonic Games was being acquired by Microsoft. The rumor started when an alleged employee wearing a Microsoft bag. I'm not sure how an old bag goes from being something someone found in an attic to a rumor of acquisition, but it happened. Either way, Playtonic had to clarify that it wasn't working on another Banjo-Kazooie game and was staying independent. You can read the company's statement on Twitter below.
