Okay,I'm just curious, how many of You aren't having any issues with your TITAN?I mean TITAN issues like sound quality, etc not OS bugs or AT&T's signal issues?

Signal issue is not an Att only thing. My iPhone was able to talk 99% of the time when there were bars showing. I only say 99% because I am sure there was a time it did not, but I can not remember. My Titan has shown 3 bars a few times and not connected. Sorry, that is not an ATT issue.

Returned my Titan because I couldn't get a signal where I work in Boston. Same thing with the Focus S (though not nearly as bad). My iPhone has no issues on AT&T in the same spot. I just bought the original Focus off eBay to see if perhaps I will have more luck with the older 3G version. So far MS, HTC and AT&T have not been able to figure out why my iPhone works where I work but to the Titan and Focus S.

^^ If thats the case then it must be something with the "4G". Are international Titans 4G? I wish I could just have cell on 3G permanently and data on the "4G".

We don't have real 4G here in the UK yet power 5, just 3.5G :)

(It's supposedly arriving next year but will more than likely be delayed) :(

Not having any signal issues though, the signal indicator is showing the same as my Omnia 7 did.

Phone is constantly on 3G but switches to 3.5G for data transfers. (3UK is a 3G network)

4G in the UK is a bit of a disater due to the allocation of spectrums between the networks.

I'm not having issues because I'm not annoyed with the device. I knit pick, but nothing for me to pick on yet.

Maybe I'm in such good coverage, I don't really notice.

That's one thing that confuses me about GSM. I am used to the CDMA world where the phone always switches to 1xRTT for a call. In GSM world, it seems like you can make calls on multiple kinds of data connections, and even more confusingly, if you force it to, say, GPRS, battery life is much improved. This is all new to me. It also seems that WP7 doesn't give us much control over this stuff.

This may sound silly, however.... excepting signal attenuation from our every so slightly condctive hands, the iPhone 4/4S has one of the most effective antenna designs of a modern cell phone. Not many phones are going to stand up to that.

So if my phone is on 3G for cell I am at a loss as to why I would not be able to connect with 3 bars showing when I was always able to connect with my iPhone 3G even when only 1 bar was showing. I think I may go to ATT and get a replacement sim card to see if anything changes.

From my experience, Blackberry actually has slightly better signal performance than iPhone4. I have personally used Bold 9000 and Storm 2 unlocked. Recently the Storm 2, and it would usually beat out the iPhone in places with spotty coverage of EDGE.

My Nokia N8 has an AT&T SIM card before they they started the HSPA+ is 4G. I had it in my Treo Pro which only shows 3G. When I put that SIM card into my Nokia N8 last year (October 2010) when I bought it, it shows 3.5G for data, which is the HSPA+ 4G.
