Hi I'm hoping that the big W10 updates problems are getting close to being over. I have been interested in them sense the free W10 upgrade offer.
Here's my Update History. How does yours compare to mine. I'm doing a little survey and hoping I can learn some things from other users Update History.
Thanks for your reply!
PS I'm running the latest Anniversary build and have all the updates. I'm waiting for patch Tuesday for the next big update!

Hi Well this thread went over like a lead balloon. Not one person attached their update history for me to study. Oh well patch Tuesday is coming soon and there will probably be problems. There always are! Although mine have been going smoothly lately!
Thanks for all members that participated in my research! ZERO!

We've run scan doctor prior.
Always comes up with "everything is ok"

Printing and scanning work normally so I've never paid any attention to the "null" update failures.

Just some anomaly between W10 and HP I imagine.
Not worried about it frankly because I'll be buying a laser printer soon anyway.

I did run run the HP scan like I noted it's always the same result.
Far as I can tell there's confusion between the USB printer and the Wi-Fi network assignment.
Windows update is trying to install drivers for the "null" virtual printer so it errors.
The USB drivers are up to date.

As I said everything works.

Yuppers that's the way I understand it also!:winktongue: So go into devices and printers and uninstall virtual printer. LMAO. OK I'll quit. I just like to have a little fun and I like solving these kind of things.

Thanks!

Been thru it all.
As long as it works.
I know you probably have been through all of it! As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" You were bored any way, just like me!:winktongue:
I really hate those little annoyances. I'm really not having any at the moment that I'm aware of, but patch Tuesday will be here soon!
Have a great weekend friend!

I have Windows 10 Pro and updated all patches except the Anniversary update. I have a Canon physical printer and have other virtual printers that I never use like the fax driver, MS XPS document writer, sent to OneNote printer.

Hi Welcome to Windows Central! Do you have a question or are you just making a comment? I'm not familiar with OneNote printer!

MS Office software always configure OneNote as the default printer, which might interfere with print jobs. After l install the Canon printer driver, for example, l have to go to printers and make my Canon printer the default printer. OneNote is an example of a virtual printer.

Cool! thanks for the information! I don't use MS Office, so I don't have that problem. That sounds like a bug to me?

Hi Well OK! No update history from members. Post your Reliability Monitor then. I have gone 10 days without any errors on my PC. Can you do better? Show me! I have a well maintained machine! Yea I'm bragging. Post yours. Lets see if you can beat mine! I'll add another screen shot after a week. I'll probably get about the same number of replies as I did about update history. LMAO. Not my first rodeo!
Here's what my friend HTG says about this. Do you have a comment about the Reliability Monitor. I would love to hear your comment!

Imagine your computer has started flaking out and locking up for the last week, and you aren’t quite sure why. All you have to do is open up Reliability Monitor and check what happened to start the crashes in the first place. You can click on each day that has a crash, then go back in the list to before all the crashes started and figure out what was installed to make things break… and remove it from y0ur PC.

Hi Windows Central ,here's update that I promised you on my Reliability Monitor. Damn MBAM messed up my 10 rating. That's OK MBAM has been my friend for years and I trust it. I'm not concerned that it stopped responding for awhile. I have seen this error before, and I haven't bothered to do a search for this error because, MBAM is a good and trusted friend. Any way here's a update on my Reliability Monitor as promised. I'm still waiting to see your Reliability Monitor!:winktongue:
