Posting Issues

When I try to post/comment, I get the following message:

"Thank you for posting! Your post will not be visible until a moderator has approved it for posting. "

I haven't gotten this message before, just started today. It also looks like the posts are just disappearing.

Think it might have something to do with all the call girl and escort threads that seem to have flooded the discussion boards today

We have been getting a lot of spam lately this is an effort to keep it from showing up in open forum. Don't worry about it now that you have reached 10 posts it won't do that any more.

Ok, thanks. That's weird though, I've never had that problem before. I know I'm a really lightweight poster (10 posts since 2007). Shouldn't my posts still show up as pending? When I look at the threads I've posted to today or look at "my posts", they don't even show as pending.

Most likely your posts are approved in less than a few minutes. So when you go to "my posts" you might not see them as pending even after that message when you post it. We tend to monitor and approve/disapprove posts pretty swiftly.

How can I correct the misspelled title of a thread I started? - a minor thing but I'm very irritated with myself for not noticing

If you click to edit your post, there should be another button at the bottom titled 'go advanced'. Click that, and you should be able to re-title your thread.
