Power Bank External Battery Unboxing

I bought the new Power Bank (Lumia 920) external battery case when it became available to order and it just arrived today. Here are a few thoughts while it charges:

It comes in a hard plastic case and includes only the battery case and a small instruction booklet.




The battery itself is not very heavy but is a little bit thicker than an average case..



You slide it up to put your phone in.



The back has a power button, 4 blue LED status lights, and a kickstand. The kickstand feels a bit flimsy to me but time will tell. I will update how it works when I review the battery performance. The micro USB port and the 2 speaker openings are on the bottom.



The booklet is in broken English and has a couple of misspelled words. The operation seems basic enough. Push the power button to start charging the phone and then again to stop charging. Once I start using the case I will review the battery life and bulk associated with it.

Yesterday I received this and I'm very happy, is great! More battery and more protection, besides Lumia 920 is invinsible ^^

How much is this and where to buy them? I have a external power bank too but not in case form, would like to know how well it charges and the capacity. Also any pictures when the case is plugged into the phone? Any other colour options?

Hi!!!! This external battery arrive to Spain... Is it useful??? We have 2 different batteries, the 2000mAh battery of lumia 920 plus the external 2200mAh battery??? The life of the battery is really double??? Thanks!!!

It does a great job of recharging my battery but rarely do I get a full charge from it. If my phone is around 30% battery life the power bank puts it back up around 80-85%.

I get the same results...only about 50% recharge, not 100%. I hope the battery in the case will boost more power after a couple of recharges.

I would expect a greater percentage charge provided by this case, given its 2,200 mAh capacity.

I'm getting around 67% from powered down drained state... was expecting more as well but the phone having to be on while charging does mean it takes some juice as well.

Anyone worry about the "Please Charge the Battery Case and Nokia Lumia 920 Separately. (Do Not Charge the Battery Case and Nokia Lumia 920 At the Same Time)" on brando's website? I always charge the phone inside the jacket (I.e. plug in charger to case, push button on the back so it charges the phone ffirst and then wait until both are charged up). I plugged it in overnight and also notice that after both are charged, the phone is also topped up so I get near 97-100% in the morning.

Any other reviews of this product? I've read a lot of stories about people ordering them and not getting them. Also, how reliable and durable is the power jacket?
