Power off option

After updating to 8.1 I noticed I don't have the option to power off the device on the tile screen next to the search button. It shows on my desktop and on my wife's surface pro. Is this normal for the asus or did I do something wrong?

You can right-click on Start button and shut down from there.

I think it was mentioned somewhere that the power button is only for devices attached to a keyboard and mouse. Take the type cover off of your wife's surface pro and see if it's still there.

Yea it stays there even when the keyboard is off on the surface pro. I guess that's just something the vivotab smart didn't get.
