Problem with Nokia lumia 820's (and 920) weight

So, every phone hits the ground with the same speed. It depends on it's structure how it goes through the impact, and if it hits wooden floor they may even bend a bit under heavier phones, resulting in lower negative acceleration. It's simple really.

couple of points:
I drop my 820, almost on a daily basis as I am too clumsy and my son is too naughty. Sometimes the height is about 3 feet, and at times it is even 5 ft or more. However, I have never damaged my screen due to it. I had to change the screen once though. That time it fell off from my shirt pocket, on to the road and couple of vehicles went over it. Initially I thought, I have lost this phone forever. But to my pleasant surprise the phone was still working even though I could not do anything as the touchscreen was gone, so there were no commands at all. I got the screen replaced and it is as good as new!
The point about weight being a factor in phone damage: i-phones and galaxies are much much lighter that lumias. Just try dropping the two from same height and you can see for yourself which one breaks first. I have seen iphones falling rather gently and yet getting damaged and my Lumia falling regularly and working fine.
