PureView branding

The way I see it, PureView is a stamp of approval given by Nokia (now Microsoft) to camera on their phones which is a cut above the rest. Some Nokia phones do not have the PV brand (most likely lower end ones), some do. I need someone to tell me what makes a PV camera a PV camera? The gargantuan 41MP? OIS? Any Nokia employee here who can explain??

PureView is not just branding but a branding for the technology they use. If a particular phone comes with that particular technology then it will carry the PureView brand along...
