What? If your phone is off you can't do anything with it. What kind of weird question is that? However, once you turn it on again, everything should be fine.

Never turn off your computer or phone? It's OK to do that you know.

If the cell/mobile contract is terminated or if the service is interrupted, then the phone can still function as a wireless device. So, you'll be able to do everything with the phone except from make/receive calls and text messages.

I guess I misunderstood what 'shutting off my phone' meant. o.O

How about using proper terminology? I could be wrong, but I believe it's called 'disconnected'? Or mum canceled my phone service?

I was working on the assumption that if the OP is old enough to be able to join a forum and ask the question, he might just be old enough to know how to turn a phone back on again. :P

And logically thinking, turning off the phone/texting is a financial decision. WiFi is notionally free to access (well, more free than using a data connection at any rate).
