Question: How do I transfer music onto my Lumia 925?

When I connect my Lumia 925, and use file explorer to open the music folder, in the 925, what am I suppose to do next? There are more folders such as "Artist", "Album", "playlists" and "podcast". Which folder to I drag and drop my music into? Thanks in advance for any help you may give.

Whenever I use Windows Media Player I had duplicates and some stuff wouldn't load. It was a disaster. It could have been the SD Card and Media player not playing well together. When I used the SD Card, by inserting it into my pc and drag and drop with file explorer, everything worked fine.

I just pull the sd card, put it in my laptop and transfer away. Faster than via cable....

The 925 doesn't have a SD card slot, only internal storage.

The easiest way I have found, if your using Windows 8.1 is to share them to your device. If the 925 is still running Windows phone 8.0, not 8.1. (the feature is currently broken in windows phone 8.1)

choose the songs / playlists/ albums you want to put on the phone, make sure you have the modern connector app from the app store installed. open your charms bar and choose "share" Windows phone will be listed in there, select that and whala, it will start to copy the music to the device.

now, if Microsoft will get out an updated link app for windows phone 8.1 I might be a bit more happy about the whole state of xbox music.
