Quick Question about T100 Screen Behavior

New owner of a T100 here. Got a couple hours on it already. Runs pretty well and since this is first time to work with the new Windows I found it pretty easy to find what I was looking for it. However, one issue is with the display. I notice that whenever I run the mail app the screen dims a little bit from bright white to off white. At first I thought this was the adaptive display setting but it was not. I like to keep the display turned all the way up (in spite of greater battery usage). Better for photos and videos and websites in my opinion.

Anyway, has anyone experience the slight dimming of the screen on the Mail app?

I haven't experienced this on my surface pro. Have you rebooted your device to see if this happens?

I tried to reboot it but this did not solve the problem. I suppose I should try a factory reset. Anyone know how to do this?

I'm pretty sure it is that Asus reading app. Most people are disabling it.
