I can't f%^&ing believe the reset/spinning gears issue is still with us. My 1020's live tiles weren't updating, even when I uninstalled most of the apps that were listed under the "advanced" section, deleted my temp files, etc. So I did a reset, figuring the amber update MUST have resolved this issue once and for all. Well, here I am 15 hours later. I've tried everything that has worked in the past: vol down/power/camera reset, reset and volume up/down/power/down, let the battery run down and plug it in and press the volume down button, everything. With all the fantastic work Nokia has done, I'm flabbergasted that they haven't resolved this issue.
My apologies to the mod who has to merge, move or lock this thread. I'm not really looking for solutions, I've searched the boards and I know all the solutions. I'm sure this will resolve itself overnight. I'll just be without a phone for 24 hours or more. It's ridiculous that it hasn't been fixed yet and I wanted to rant. I wish we had a rant section on this board.
