Helldivers 2 is an awesome game, and so is Halo Infinite. They're not really anything alike, though. But that hasn't stopped some weird console fanboys attempting to draw comparisons.

There is a reason why they are known as "fan boys". Not "fan men".

This junk all goes back PC vs Mac arguments, and TRS-80 vs Apple 2 before that. It is all silly and petty. And yes, childish. Once you grow up you lose interest in all of that.

These companies SHOULD be releasing games for other platforms. It is pointless (not to mention money-losing) to have "exclusives".

People have preferences. Each system has its own on style and community. The competition and variety is actually helpful because it gives people choices about their gaming experience. The Nintendo experience is different than the PC, or play station. Exclusivity, which baring Nintendo, is really timed exclusively (all ps and Xbox exclusives end up on pc) helps define each experience and creates a unique value to the player base. Choices create paths. Xbox , or PlayStation creates a wonderful branching off point.
Having distinct brands creates an environment of competition that drives excellence and fuels innovation. If we can play every game on any system why should there be separate consoles. If there’s only one gaming experience then we must abide by that one vision of gaming. If they are against mods for instance, or nudity, or find historical setting to be insensitive then we would only get games that fall under the parameters that exclude those things. I see this argument all the time but I think no more exclusives means the beginning of the end gaming. I’m glad star field is only on Xbox and final fantasy rebirth is only ps. Make a decision and live with it.
