Refreshing podcast RSS feeds manually?

I've subscribed to a bunch of podcasts on my phone via the Marketplace, and I've noticed that my phone tends to be several hours behind when checking for new episodes. I can go into iTunes on my desktop/iPhone and see the new episode right when it's been posted, but Marketplace refuses to show it.

I'm guessing that it only refreshes at a set interval, instead of checking on demand?

Does anybody know if there's a way to manually refresh a podcast feed to check for new episodes? Or maybe a setting to check more frequently?

I'm on a Samsung Focus S running Mango.
