Remote desktop for WP8?

Does anyone know a good remote desktop app (free) for my Lumia 920 wich works with W8? The only function i really need is search a movie on my laptop and then play it (sometimes i connect my laptop to tv via hdmi and it would be easier if i had a remote app).

Quality remote desktop applications can never be free though. However, you can try using TeamViewer in order to establish remote connection between your Nokia Lumia 920 and laptop. Also, if you would like to have view only remote desktop sharing, try using gosupportnow remote support service.

There is no TeamViewer version for WP.

There are tons of free RDP apps for Android and FruitPhone. I figured windows would have a windows RDP app baked in???

PC Remote will do the trick for you and they have free version.

I was really annoyed it wasn't baked in.... I'm using paid RemoteDesktop | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

I've tried a few, and even though it's expensive, ConnectMe has been the best one I've used (even has proper gateway support for Server 2012). I use RDP on my phone more than I thought I would, and for me at least it's been worth it:
