Renaming file highlights the extension, as well, which I do not want!

When I go to rename a file and and hit F2, it automatically highlights the entire file name including extension. It changed only recently, because before, it used to highlight all EXCEPT the extension. I do not want the extension included for obvious reasons. Using Win 10, 22H2.
