"Reply to all" driving me nuts

I've had a WP7 device (Focus) in the past and now have a WP8 device...when I reply to all, it automatically puts my email in the reply which I don't want...WP7 never did this.
It's not an exchange issue as it doesn't do it from outlook

However, it doesn't do it from my non-exchange email addresses on the phone...

Any ideas?

Aren't you thrilled also by the fact that, when you forward a message, you are unable to edit it? For me, the email application is the biggest drawback of WP8.

Yes, completely stupid Nightwishh...also the fact that I can't attach anything other than pictures is kind of limiting...

The actual design other than these issues of the email app is good though

Do you mean that you actually see your email address in the "To" or "cc" address fields? Or, do you mean you always receive a copy of the message you sent? If this is the case, check the settings for that account. Do you have "Always bcc myself" checked?

I'm struggling to understand the problem. Reply All in Windows Phone 8 works exactly the same way I've seen it work everywhere else, Outlook.com, Office365, Outlook email client, iOS and Gmail. The email being replied to gets dumped below your signature in the body of the email. That reply then ends up in the email chain.

Why wouldn't you want that? It's a record of all correspondence, not just everyone else but yours.

To the other comment about being able to edit forwarded emails I can and have done it. I just tried it again to confirm. Again, like everywhere else, the forwarded email is dumped below your signature so that you can add your own comments. It's standard functionality.

Are you sure. I have three different exchange accounts on my phone and I can not forward an email and edit that forwarded text... the stuff below your signature... you can highlight text and copy it, but you can not edit it.

I just checked and:
1. Yes, I can't edit text that is part of the email (or email chain) being forwarded. I can add text to the email, but cannot edit the portion that is getting forwarded. Having said that, I never tried doing this before and this doesn't affect me personally. :)
2. The reply all behavior is exactly the same as on my work Exchange account. If I reply all on an email that I received, my email address does NOT get added to the recipient list. However, if I reply all on an email that I'd sent out previously (for instance, from sent folder), then yes, my email address does get added to the recipient list.

Perhaps I'm not clear...

The way this works now for me with WP8 is not like it's worked in the past...I do not have "always bcc myself" checked.

If I reply to all, my email address is automatically put in the "to" area and I receive the email...I have to manually take out my name from every email that I "reply to all". This didn't do this with WP7 and doesn't do it with my outlook email with the exchange server on my laptop. It also doesn't do it with the Hotmail account on the WP8 phone...just the exchange outlook account with WP8

Also, it's widely known that you cannot edit text that you forward on...this is not a bug...I've read a response from MS that they will alter this in the future...just another "feature" we get to live with...

I see my email address in the "to" area...

It's very strange as there is no setting for this....it doesn't happen with my WP7 device with the same exchange account for work and doesn't happen with outlook on my computer. It's not a setting from our IT department as far as I can tell...

It is important that you check the settings first to see if you have the “Always Bcc Myself” checked. If that's checked then you have to uncheck it so as to discontinue you receiving the email messages you reply (if that is the case/problem). Though I don't encounter this problem with my device, I hope it helps. http://girlwiththedragontattoo.dk/
