Ringtones and sounds setup question

Is there a way to set the volume of sounds such as incoming emails or texts independently from the main ringer volume? So far this may be my only complaint with this phone. I'm hoping they put out an update to address this issue. Or am I missing something?

It's a requested feature on Microsoft's website. Hopefully they update the software in a future patch.

For now what I do is when I'm listening to music, I just turn the ringer to vibrate.
