Roaming charges for Here Map App

I am out of country and wonder if I will be charged data fees if I turn on the GPS for the Here Map App. I do have the roaming turned off.

Did you downloaded the map for that country? If so no, but make sure to turn off data.. If you didn't download the map then you will use data to get the map area. Therefore, charging you with roaming charges..

Do you plan on using your phone for Roaming Minutes while you are over there? I'd just take the SIM right out of the phone and turn off the Data connection (saving antenna power). Taking the SIM out will make sure you don't connect to anything that will charge you, but you'll still have a WiFi and GPS device.

I don't think you could set the phone into Airplane mode, as I think that would turn off the GPS antenna...

U can set it to airplane mode, and manually turn on location. But if u select don't roam in the data settings, it should work just fine.
