Roaming

I am in France on holiday and my phone has the triangle icon showing I'm roaming but on settings I have as put in DONT ROAM, the triangle won't disappear, can anyone help?..

I'm guessing you are on 8.1 developer preview? I've had this show up on my 920 and my setting are to not roam either. I'd recommend checking with your service provider whether you have been recorded as roaming at any time.

That "Don't Roam" is for data connection i.e internet. So if you select don't roam, you will not be able use internet.
