Samsung Jack and Garmin Mobile XT

Ok, my BJII shot craps and it was replaced with the Jack. I just got it today and am having a heck of a time getting my Garmin mobile xt to find any sats. IDoes anyone know how to get it working with this phone. If so could you tell me in a step by step fashion that a 4 year old could understand? Thanks for any help.
