Screen blacking out when making and receiving calls, and.. dust in screen?

Hi guys!

So my Lumia 520 was bought over on december through lazada. No screen protector, no casing ever since.

Just a few hours ago i accidentally dropped my phone onto cement (bed-high height). It was working fine then, but afterwards when I made a call, the screen blacks out. I had my earphones on, so i swiped a thumb over the small red sensor, thinking the screen would be visible again, but instead it flickers between the lock and black screen until it blacks out again . Until the call ends, the lock screen flickers back on instead of the 'call end' screen. It's the same when I am receiving a call.

Also, I notice there's dust-like specks on the top left corner of the screen. Also the screen's left top edge seemed sort of looser than the rest (you can barely notice it unless you squint). A few friends noticed this and said it looks like dust, but one said it could be cracks underneath the screen (?). When I switch the color backdrop to white, you can see the specks very clearly.

Any opinions? I've thought the warranty could help get me a replacement, but another opinion said it wouldn't work cause it's not FTF (from the factory) faulty problem, it's self caused. :crying:

I could not send or view receive texts, but I could again after finding a useful thread discussing this!

So far, just the receiving/making calls problem! Do you think it was because of the drop?
It's possible that something was damaged or disconnected due to the drop.

I was thinking of the same thing too. Do you think I can get a replacement on this? I read a few threads on screen interactivity problems, and those users got replacements.

I'll wait for other users to reply their opinions on this, would love to know more opinions. Thanks for replying Laura :)

Unless you have insurance, probably not. Physical damage to a device voids the warranty.
