Hey, guys,

My 8X has horrid battery life and now I have found another interesting thing- screen flexing. It appears, when you push the sides of the phone. Does it appear to everyone?

If you don't depend on it, turn off Mobile Data (Settings -> Cellular -> Mobile Data). You'll have to enable it again in case you want to access the internet or you want to send a picture message. Additionally, turn off NFC. This will increase battery life immense.

About your 2nd issue: I don't even wanna try ... ! :winktongue:

idk what you mean by screen flexing... when i squeeze the sides (with ALOT of force might i say) i can see the screen warps near where im holding. But it is almost non noticeable.

my only problem with the screen is that it flickers every now and then. Im exchanging it for another device this week.

When I climb up on my desk and then jump off onto my 8x the screen does flex a little and it also makes a creaking sound, no more like a popping sound. I'm thinking about taking it back. This is totally unacceptable.

That is just typical HTC quality. The One X was even worse, you could actually pushed down on a corner and pop one side of the screen out and then you would hear it click back into place if you pop it back in.

Just got my replacement 8x (the previous had a glitchy screen)

I know exactly what you mean now. One of the corners on my screen are elevated slightly higher and i can push down on it and it flexes a little... might need a third phone.
