Was just on a phone call and was using the speakerphone mode.

For some reason the screen stayed on the whole time (on my iPhone it used to turn off to save power).

Is this normal?

Does the same thing on mine. Figured that was normal. What aggravates me is the screen not coming back on when I pull the phone away from my ear to end a call or look up something.

Stays on for me unless I manually turn the screen off. Screen turn off/on normally by itself if I have it to my head/take it away.

What's to fix? The major reason to be using the speaker is so you can access something else, like the dial pad. If you just want to talk, press the button. Personally, I have my screen to go dark after 30 seconds. Trying to access the options during a call (you know, press 1 for option A, press 2 for option B, etc) during a 30 see time limit is not a good solution. In this case, I would be pressing the power button all the time. Same goes if I need to look something up while on the call, such as a number in my ewallet.

The screen is programmed to stay on specifically for these (and some other use cases I can think of right off the top of my head).
