Screen Problem

Hello,
recently I cracked my lumia 800 screen and so I got a used one from ebay. The seller said that he had checked it and it worked fine. When I got it,I attached it to my phone, turned on the phone and saw the screen becoming blue.It didn't get its final color right away.At start ,there were black and blue vertical lines and it seemed like they were getting organized in some way. After a while you could see the pattern was one blue line, one black line, one blue line, one black and so on. I could slightly see the nokia logo in the background and the same happened after the phone fully turned on.I could also slightly see the windows phone start screen tiles, but couldn't read what is written on them. This way i have checked that most of the phone's functions work fine, but of course the phone is unusable. Here is a pictureDSC_0270.JPG(It was taken while the phone was at the lockscreen so nothing at all can be seen in the background)
I have reset the phone and have checked if the screen is well connected multiple times.
Is there a way that this problem can be fixed?
Thank you

Re: Screen Priblem

Hi, what was the fault with your old screen?
Was it just cracked and the display ok?
If so try hooking it back up to check the display is still ok.
If the display is ok then your new screen appears to be defective and I would ask for your money back.

Thanks for the response,but no,the old screen wasn't just cracked,it also didn't display anything.So unfortunately I can't check this.

Re: Screen Priblem

Ok, next thing I would try would be to reseat the cables from the new screen to the phone.
Then power up the phone before reassembling everything.
Check you haven't damaged any of the connectors as they are very fragile.

Also just because the seller said the screen was fine does not mean it still is (What is there feedback?)
The screen also may have been damaged in transit.

Re: Screen Priblem

I did it,but I get the same blue screen again. The cables don't seem to have a problem, but I'm not sure if I know how to find out if they're damaged or not.Just by looking at them I can't see any damage though.
As for the seller,I contacted him and he told me he will give me a refund and let me keep the screen since it doesn't work. Then he told me again that he had checked it and it worked. But as you say it could also have been damaged in transit.I wanted to know if it is possible for the screen to work again, because if it doesn't I will probably won't use my lumia again.Because buying an original new screen is too expensive and buying a non original is very risky.
