SD Card Insert and Removal

Can anyone with the 950 please tell me if the SD can be added and removed while the battery is still in place?

Physically it looks like it could be inserted with the battery in place, however I'm not sure I would. If the bus that the SD card plugs into is electrically "hot", there would need to be some sort of surge protection device to protect the memory chip(s). I don't know if the SD card makers put this type of protection on the cards.

Yes it can. It's not totally blocked by the battery being in place. It's not a practice I would recommend however. Just safe to power down the device, pop it in, then power back on. Better safe than sorry.
