SD card on my Lumia 1520 has become protected, how can I get it unprotected?

sd card on my Lumia 1520 has become protected , help

after the first build of 10586 . my photos and videos , files,etc started to disappear after few hours or restart.
I thought it was a bug confined to photos or video app.But later I realized that the same is happening to all the files on my sd card.
I tried formatting my sd card from the phone OS but no results. Tried deleting files using PC (failed) and even on android ,etc.
The sd card is protected is what i get everytime i try to format in all possible known methods.
What should I do?

if by protected you mean write protected, I've seen this happen before when an SD card becomes corrupt. When it happened to my Pny card, I contacted their support and described the situation and they confirmed it was corrupted (all the info I gave them was that it was write protected and that I tried to format it with the same error). They gave me an RMA to return it and exchange for a new one. There is no way I found to fix it. Good luck!

From the description, it seems that SD card has got corrupt. If the card is write protected, then you can unlock it by sliding the lock switch up, if the slide switch is down at the side of the SD card.
If the card has corruption issues, then one thing you can use a third party software to recover lost files and another thing you can do is to replace the card with a new one.
