Intel might have jumped ahead to PCIe 5.0 support with its 12th Gen Alder Lake processors, but most people are just starting to get into PCIe 4.0 support with their PC hardware. Some of the best Black Friday PC parts deals include solid-state drives, but PCIe 4.0 is still relatively rare.
If your PC can support PCIe 4.0, something like Seagate's FireCuda 530 SSD is going to turn long load times into a thing of the past. This drive, which is currently on sale for up to 25% off, can hit read speeds up to 7,300MB/s, essentially doubling what even the faster PCIe 3.0 drives can handle. And if you're still working with a SATA SSD, you're going to step into a future where Windows boots before your screen wakes up.
