Searching my Contacts

I have a Lumia 925 with lots of contacts. Since I do not remember people's names well, I put some notes. How do I search using some word I had put under the Notes section? Does not seem to work. On my laptop with Windows 8, on the People app, it is even worse. I cannot even type the name of a company and find the people in that company. I get no contacts returned. It is very frustrating that I have used this feature well on Outlook. Any solution on the phone? Any solution for the laptop? Thank you.

On the NL925. Click the phone icon ---> click search icon
---> your note ---> click search contacts. Enjoy.

Home screen click on your phone icon. Now you are in your history page. Then click the search icon and enter your note. Don't click the enter button it does not work. Below your note not on the keyboard you will see search contacts. Click that and everyone associated with that note shows up.

try an app called people search.
it gives u facility to search in almost all details that u have saved to your contacts.
