Sears and google play ?

I was trying to get on sears website with my Lumia 650 and now I have to go through google play ?
Has anybody seen this on other websites ? What's going on ? Now we can't access the web for certain sites unless we go through google? Maybe I'm jumping the gun..i don't know. Just making windows more frustrating to use now.

I'm not sure what you are seeing...

I just tried it. Doesn't matter that I request Desktop view, I get the m. Mobile site.

There is a big banner across the top that asks you to get the App from Play and a "View" button on the right. That just takes you to view the app on Play. On the left side of that banner is an X to close it out.

Doesn't matter whether I leave the banner up or close it out, the site works for me in Edge.

Lumia 1520.3, 10.0.14393.82 official.

Just another stupidly designed mobile site, that assumes anything other than safari on ios must be an android phone.
