Secure connection failed, why does this keep happening?

Secure connection failed

Insider build 14251 rs1 160124-1059 64 bit

Just today Firefox began giving "secure connection failed" errors on some but not all websites. MS Edge also.

Sometimes I'd get a "connection reset" error.

I uninstalled Avira anti virus, Malwarebytes and Spybot and rebooted but no better. I started Defender and it needed to update but kept failing.

Any ideas please.

Just checking but did you reboot after removing avast?

Sorry I missed that.. Any error codes? (windows defender update failing)
